This fastback doesn't share a single engine, drivetrain, suspension, steering, brake system, or fuel system component with an original '67 Mustang. When complete, it will run and drive like a 2006 model while retaining the looks that make the 1967 fastback so desirable.

This extremely solid, straight fastback came from the western U.S. and the condition of the original sheet metal is excellent. I acquired it as a fairly presentable driver, and drive it I did, using it for many months as a "test mule" for numerous upgrades. It received a modern Mustang II-type front suspension, power rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes, 2004 Mustang Cobra independent rear suspension, tilt steering column, custom instrument cluster, modern seats, and more. All the while I logged test miles with the car to ensure that the upgrades I was performing to other cars were up to snuff and functioned as planned.

After the fastback passed all of its tests with flying colors, it was sold, disassembled, freshened up, and is being completely modernized before final delivery to the customer.
